The Hitachi CP-D31N 3LCD Projector is a workhorse of a video projector. With 3000 ANSI lumens and a 2000:1 contrast ratio it has the projection power to work in both classrooms and meeting rooms, making it ideal for both the educational and business markets. The whiteboard mode compensates visually when you don't have a screen but you do have a board or wall to project upon. Its fan noise is a quiet 39 dB in normal mode and a very quiet 29 dB in eco mode. Similarly, eco mode extends an already impressive lamp life of 3000 hours to an amazing 5000 hours. (The latter is equivalent to leaving the projector lamp on every hour of every business day for two solid years.) As a short throw projector the CP-D31N can project a relatively large image at a short distance from the screen. Imagine a picture that's 80" (2 m) diagonally with a lens that's only three feet from the projection surface. The CP-D31N is compatible with world power requirements, world TV standards (NTSC, NTSC 4.43, PAL, PAL-N, PAL-M, PAL-60 and SECAM), and it even provides closed captioning when present in the input signal and you select it. That's great not only for the hard of hearing but also for audience members for whom English is a second language. This is one projector that not only gives your audience the big picture but helps make sure they understand it. 3000 ANSI Lumens White / Color Output 3000 lumens of white light output in conjunction with equal color light output project bright, clear, true to life images in any application 2000:1 Contrast Ratio Contrast can be automatically controlled through an active iris to add depth perspective during both bright and dark scenes Hybrid Filter (4000 Hours Between Maintenance) Hitachi's hybrid filter consists of a two-stage, layered design and an electrostatic filter, providing dust protection for up to 4000 hours 10W Audio Output 10W audio output eliminates the need to connect external speakers HDMI Input (HDCP) Digital connectivity allows for highest image quality from your HD device. Compliancy with HDCP Power Saving Standby Mode Power saving mode reduces the standby power consumption to less than 1W PJMessenger PJMessenger function allows you to send and display text messages and audio alerts on your networked projectors. It is an easy and efficient way to send announcements out to multiple units Present Content via LAN Hitachi's suite of networking software allows you to easily send content directly from your PC to the projector via your LAN connection Input Source Naming Users can name input sources in simple language instead of factory default name Transition Detector and Security Bar A security sensor located inside the projector recognizes when the projector has been moved. For connection to a document camera, MySource allows users to add a third document camera source button PIN Lock / MyScreen / MyText PIN lock protection can limit projector users. MyScreen PIN lock keeps captured images on the startup screen. Users can set any name logo to MyScreen, clearly identifying ownership. MyText provides the ability to write text on the startup screen such as model name, serial number or location Template Function Line templates in the projector menu can help when writing on a whiteboard.
